Last year FFMC contacted medicare patients to let them know that FFMC no longer accepts medicare health insurance. FFMC no longer accepts medicare as of March 21, 2017. The letter was brief and factual and we do apologize that it was not more explanatory and conciliatory. What happened is that beginning in the year 2012 medicare did not pay FFMC for work done taking care of medicare patients. Sequentially FFMC has contacted Senator Reid in 2013, Congressman Hardy in 2014/2015 and Senator Heller's office in 2016. FFMC has also contacted Governor Sandoval and then President Barack Obama. FFMC has been working diligently to obtain the rightful receivables but there is stilla large back payment that medicare refuses to pay. FFMC can no longer operate under a deficit. Unfortunately FFMC has been forced to cancel participation with medicare. This decision was not made lightly and it has taken 5 years to come to this decision. We deeply regret the cessation of the treasured physican patient relationship. These circumstances are beyond FFMC's control. Please feel free to contact your government representatives. Thank you. FFMC apologizes for this inconvenience and the initial letter.
